RE-ELECT   for Ontario County Coroner

Terri Haskins

Terri D. Haskins, MS, FNP-C Ontario County Coroner, is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the only New York State accredited Ontario County Coroner with extensive experience in primary care, hospital medicine, pain management, addiction treatment, and forensic death investigation. She has provided medication-assisted treatment services in outpatient, inpatient, and correctional settings.

Ms. Haskins is actively involved in statewide and county-level initiatives focused on suicide prevention, overdose response, and child fatality review. She serves as a board member of the New York State Association of County Coroners and Medical Examiners and is a frequent speaker on pain management and substance use–related topics.

Scott "Scooter" Avedisian

Scott “Scooter” Avedisian is a life-long resident of Ontario County and a registered Republican since the age of 18. Living in Geneva with his family, Scott is currently the Ontario County Coroner and is in his second, 4-year term. Serving the people of Ontario County is nothing new to Scott, as he began 32 years ago as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Ontario County Office of Sheriff. Being a Deputy has given him the knowledge, experience, expertise and the upper hand to investigate death cases. Over the years, Scott has investigated many deaths from an elderly person passing peacefully, a suicide, fatal motor vehicle accidents, overdoses to homicides; he has handled them all.

Scott would like to continue serving his County and has declared his interest and candidacy for re-election for Ontario County Coroner. Coroner Avedisian has also been endorsed by the Ontario County Republican Party as well as by the Ontario County Conservative Party.

Jeffrey Trickler

  • Born and raised in the City of Geneva. Married to wife Nicole for thirty-three years and raising twin boys. Retired as Geneva Police Chief after serving the City of Geneva for over twenty-two years.
  • Served as Deputy Treasurer for two years and Acting Treasurer for one year before being elected to the office of Ontario County Treasurer.

Served on a variety of boards and committees including:

  1. Geneva Police Benevolent Association – Served as Treasurer and then President
  2. Geneva Salvation Army Advisory Committee
  3. Knights of Columbus Council – Served as Treasurer and then Grand Knight
  4. Knights of Columbus Board of Directors – Serves as Recording Secretary
  5. Town of Geneva Planning Board
  6. Town of Geneva Republican Committee
  7. Ontario County Republican Committee
  8. Member of the Sons of American Legion and Ancient Order of Hibernians
  • Under my leadership the office has navigated through various changes of the Real Property Tax Law which required several changes in how the office operates when it comes to delinquent taxes and property foreclosures.
  • Currently updating the Treasurer website to better communicate with the public.
  • Rewriting and updating a standardized policy and procedure manual
  • Placing a big emphasis on staff training and development

Jeff Gallahan

Jeff Gallahan was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 3, 2020. His district is comprised of Ontario County and parts of Seneca County.

Jeff believes that his real-world experience will be beneficial to the people of his district and throughout New York. He is a believer in the “American Dream” and has raised his children to be hard-working while leading by example. As an Assemblyman, Jeff will fight to hold the line on taxes and push for an end to recently enacted bail reform measures. He believes this is a critical time in history when it comes to police and community relations, and we must ensure law enforcement has all the tools necessary to keep our communities safe. Jeff is committed to standing up for middle-class values, small businesses and our important agricultural community.

Prior to being elected, Jeff was a journeyman machinist at the General Railway Signal Company, moved into Cutting Tool Sales with various Manufactures and moved up the ranks, eventually taking on a number of management roles. Jeff and his wife, Lynn, are proud small business owners and founded CR7 Food Trailer and Catering in 2017. The business serves Manchester and surrounding communities. Through this venture, they are able to give back to a variety of causes by donating their time and resources, including the Boy Scouts of America and the Shortsville American Legion. He has also served as the Manchester Town Supervisor for 11 years and 4 years prior as Town Councilman.

Jeff is the founder of The Red Jacket High School trap shooting team where he teaches local youth about firearms safety. He also volunteers for the Sons of the American Legion, Clifton Springs Area YMCA and is a proud supporter of the Back the Blue movement and local sportsman clubs.

A lifelong resident of Ontario County, Jeff and his wife of 42 years Lynn, are the proud parents of two children who attended local schools and grew up in the community and proud grandparents of 3 grandchildren.
